Summary

Philosopher (logician, epistemologist and historian of science), political actor (formerly of the Presidential Majority and now of the Opposition) and statesman (former Minister and in the making), Charles Zacharie Bowao has been a University Professor since year 2007. Between 1998 and 2001, he promoted the project that led to the opening of the Doctoral Studies Cycle at the Faculty of Humanities and Letters of Marien Ngouabi University. Thanks to this action, more than twenty students have prepared and supported their theses locally, and most of them have been recruited as permanent teachers. This wave of teachers is holding the Philosophy and Philosophy PhD courses, while the deans who supervised them are retiring as they go along. At the heart of his moral and political philosophy are themes such as the critique of ethnocentrism, the ethical argumentation of politics, the criticism of historicism, the political vocation of philosophy, the articulation between philosophical criticism, political militancy and public action, etc. The transversality and hermeticity of his speech are as much misunderstandings, misunderstandings as critics to which he almost does not respond, thus amplifying the suspicion of him. This book is the pretext that some of his former students have chosen, to express their gratitude, by paying him, as an anthem, the tribute he deserves, through a critical and prospective analysis of his work. whole, and particularly, the book The Imposture ethnocentriste: Advocacy for an ethical argumentation of politics (Brazzaville, Hémar, 2014). In this way, a rational discussion is desired, by which it could bring the clarifications and readjustments imposed by the criticisms against it.
